Dr. Jesus Ramirez

Dr. Jesus Ramirez, MD graduated from medical school in December 1982. He has been married to his wife, Reta Ramirez, for more than 25 years and has three beautiful children. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

He has had extensive training in critical care, pulmonary, internal medicine and sleep disorders. In addition to the Sleep Disorder Center of Panama City, Dr. Ramirez has another office, Bay Clinic, where he treats his pulmonary patients. Dr. Ramirez has hospital privileges at both Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center and Bay Medical Sacred Heart.

Billing, Insurance And Payment For Services:
Sleep Disorder Center of Panama City patients are ultimately responsible for the payment of their medical bills.

Some insurance companies pay the total amount of the bill, while others pay less. Some insurance companies also require deductibles or pay percentages. You are responsible for the deductible, payment of the bill, or the balance of the bill after the insurance company has made payment.

Some insurance companies require referrals when patients seek care from a doctor other than their primary care physician. All patients are responsible for obtaining referrals. If a referral is not available at the time of service, the patient will be required to reschedule their appointment.

We do accept most major medical insurances. In order to ensure that we accept your policy, checking with your insurance provider yourself is the best way to guarantee the satisfaction of your bill.

Cancellation Policy:
We ask that you call us no later than 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or change your sleep study. If you fail to comply you will be charged a cancellation fee of $150.00.

Billing and Office Specialist
Amanda has been with the Sleep Disorder Center of Panama City since April 2014. She worked with Dr. Ramirez at his pulmonary clinic prior to that. She has been working in the medical field since 2002.

Amy Yates |
Medical Assistant
Amy has been Dr. Ramirez’s medical assistant since 2011. She assists him both here at the Sleep Disorder Center of Panama City and at his busy pulmonary clinic (Bay Clinic). She has been in the medical field since 2009. Wherever Amy is, Dr. Ramirez is right behind her.

Sara Joslin |
Director RPSGT, CSE
Sara has been in sleep medicine for over 19 years. She began her training in 1997 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She has been a Registered sleep tech since June of 2000. Sara was one of the first 3,200 people worldwide to receive this distinction. She has continued to advance her career in sleep by obtaining her Clinic Sleep Educators (CSE) in 2016 and will soon be testing for her Certification in Clinical Sleep Health (CCHS).

Morgan Williams, RPSGT, CSE |
Staff Technologist
Morgan began her career in sleep at the Sleep Disorder Center of Panama City in February of 2015. She has been actively advancing her career by receiving her RPSGT and her CSE in 2016.

Jeff started in sleep in 2005 at the Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL and earned his Registry in 2010. He continues to advance his career by earning is CSE in 2016 and will soon be testing for his Certification in Clinical Sleep Health (CCHS).

Ellen Belfoire, RRT |
Staff Technologist
Ellen is one of the busiest members of our staff. Not only is she a Registered respiratory therapist with three years of experience - responsible for doing PFTs (a special breathing test) at the pulmonary clinic, but she is also studying in the field of sleep. She looks forward to gaining her registry in sleep in 2017.
